I have known of Cassidy Guitars for a number of years so when I made the decision to go for an Endorsement they were one of the Companies I had on my list, and so glad I did! Simon has been extremely helpful from day one and sent me an absolute gem of an instrument, the Encounter CE711.

I own several Les Paul model guitars, Gibson, Epiphone and JHS Vintage; however, I can put this guitar on a pair with my Gibson and certainly excels when compared to Epiphone and Vintage.

Well built, the finish is impeccable with a beautifully carved flamed maple top and pearl binding around the NATO body. This is an instrument with a substantial (but not excessive) weight, which I personally like. The sustain on this guitar is amazing, some notes seem to go on forever!

The three way switch is way sturdier than others, including Gibson. And this is a bonus for me since (with the exception of Gibson) I’ve had to send all my other LPs to get fixed because switch issues.

The stock Cassidy Europa ceramic pickups are great with an impressive output they certainly deliver punch and warmth.

The 2 volume and 2 tone pots are well balanced and there are no sudden spikes in volume or tone, again this has been a recurrent problem on some my other Epiphone and Vintage. The Tune-o-matic bridge keeps the intonation as it should be, just right.

The NATO neck has a C Vintage profile, inspired by early 1950s LPs. This is a serious neck people, but at the same time surprisingly comfortable and playable. The Rosewood Fretboard has Abalone Block Inlays and also features Abalone Pearloid Binding around the Fretboard as well as white Binding on the sides, all beautifully finished. As with most LP style guitars, the neck of the CE711 has a 24 ¾’’ scale and 22 frets. Simon makes sure this instrument reaches you well set up and ready to play.

The headstock is also a work of art, beautifully finished with pearloid logo and binding.

This guitar has stock Korean 18:1 Locking Tuners that perform better than branded counterparts, keeping the guitar in tune. All the metal hardware is gold.

A great instrument, at the current price this beauty is a steal! It certainly is on a pair with my USA Gibson Les Paul for a fraction of the price.
