I have had the pleasure of knowing the musical Green family for  a few years now.

First Bela started lessons as an accomplished Grade 8 Classical Guitarist who wanted a conversion course to Country / Blues / Rock Music – that worked and she now plays and sings in her band “Kreepy Uncle”.

Then daughter Jaya followed at 8 years of age, with husband Steve closely behind with unfinished business from his teenage guitar playing years to catch up on.

Both did well in exams last year with Jaya achieving a Distinction at Grade 2 and Steve a Merit at Grade 4 Electric Guitar.

This afternoon was quite a different challenge and achievement though.

Jaya isn’t known for talking a lot in her guitar lessons. In fact it’s taken me quite a while to get more than a few words out of her. But recently, I’ve managed to persuade her to sing, and today I managed to persuade Jaya to let me record her singing and playing so that you could enjoy it too.

Backed up by country picking Dad Steve on Lead Guitar I think this is quite an achievement – especially considering that Jaya is still only 9 years old!!! What do you think???
