Review by John Courage AKA Tola of Tor Marrock… ax711 setSound Very distinctive lead sounds that cut through virtually any mix. This is a very bright sounding guitar and aimed at soloists in my opinion…..you need to have a play around in order to find the more warmer rhythm sounds….but they are there, in fact its very refreshing to have a selector switch which actually creates an audible difference to the tone. ax711 body 1 Build Quality There’s no question here… this is a beautifully crafted instrument and a lot of guitar for the price tag. I have had a look inside and the soldering tells its own story….I always look at things like this as it is generally a good indicator of Quality. The soldering and wiring is very neat and completed to a high standard. ax711 head Overall impression Simon set this guitar up for me with a set of 8’s which can be tricky on a Floyd Rose type trem but it hasn’t given me any problems and stays in tune…dive bomb after dive bomb. This is the first through neck 24 fret guitar that I have owned or played and it doesn’t disappoint. A hell of a lot of guitar for the money and suits my style of music perfectly. The fast neck and generous cutaways allows good access to the fretboard which is full of “sweet spots”… Superb finish and it always to turn heads where ever I take it. Great back up from Cassidy Guitars and being a UK company they are only a phone call away. There’s not a lot more I can add as this guitar ticks all the boxes…..buy one….you wont be sorry!!
